As part of its ongoing commitment to safety and professional development, the èßäÊÓƵ (èßäÊÓƵ), in collaboration with Dar Al Shifa Hospital, recently held its annual First Aid & CPR Essentials course for faculty and staff.
This interactive, hands-on training provided participants with vital knowledge in basic first aid, emergency injury response, and cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR). Led by certified professionals from Dar Al Shifa Hospital, the session focused on real-world scenarios designed to build both competence and confidence in emergency situations.
With over 100 participants from across the university each year, this initiative has become a cornerstone of èßäÊÓƵ’s health and safety culture. It reflects the university’s belief that emergency preparedness is not an option, it is a fundamental responsibility. By equipping its community with essential life-saving skills, èßäÊÓƵ promotes a responsive and resilient campus environment.
Upon completion of the course, participants received Certificates of Attendance, recognizing their proactive role in supporting campus safety and health literacy.
This ongoing initiative also reflects èßäÊÓƵ’s alignment with the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDG 3 - Good Health and Well-being and SDG 4 - Quality Education. By integrating practical health education into its development programs, èßäÊÓƵ continues to foster a culture of preparedness, awareness, and community care; empowering its members to respond with confidence and compassion when it matters most.
